La Salle lost a close 24-20 scrimmage to Temple University this past Friday. Both sides were grateful for the opportunity to play life opposition prior to their MARFU playoffs matches. Temples' potent back line attack was led by Moira Somerdyk . The Temple backs penetrated the Explorer backline early in the contest to take the lead. It was a lead they never gave up, despite a two try performance from freshman Kaitlin Tomkewicz. Almost 30 Explorers took the field over the course of the 80 minute scrimmage in preparation for their MARFU quarterfinal match.
