Maria was named a second team All-American and played with the All American team invited to the USA Rugby Senior National All Star Championships
Senior Maria Muscara was named to the USA Rugby All American second for the 2009-2010 season. This year's selections were done without regard to a team's division and the formal process created by high performance director Alex Williams made sure that every player had an opportunity to be assessed. Maria was also selected to play with the All American touring team, which competed in the National All Star Championships at the end of May. Muscara earned her first start in US jersey, playing scrumhalf against Mid West Senior All Star Team.

The Explorers reshuffled their lineup and made adjustments at half time, scoring twice in the second frame, both by graduating senior Maria Muscara. The game was the final warm up for the Explorers and their hosts, who will be playing in the USA Rugby Collegiate National Championship.
