La Salle closed out their EPRU league play with a 41-0 win over visiting Bryn Mawr. La Salle got on the board when sophomore Julia Walsh took a ball weak off a scrum. Walsh's wheels proved too much for Bryn Mawr's cover defense, as was the case for much of the day. In the sloppy conditions La Salle struggled to find their rhythm for much of the first half. However they regrouped in the second half and made good use of improved weather conditions to stretch their lead. |

La Salle traveled to State College this past weekend to face a mixed PSU side composed of A and B side players. LSWR made the home team work for every try and were down 33-14 at the end of the first half. After just missing several opportunities at the end of the half to narrow the lead further, the Explorers were unable to stop Penn State's second half onslaught, dropping the contest 54-14. Despite a dominating performance in the set pieces and in channel one by La Salle, Penn State was able to take advantage of La Salle's poor second half tackling in the mid field and seal the win. |

La Salle opened up their league season with a 66-0 romp over The College of New Jersey. The Explorers signaled their intentions early when junior Brittany McKenna returned the open kick off for score underneath the posts. La Salle's early season injury bug has given first year players ample opportunity to get on the field, with four players entering the starting lineup for the contest vs TCNJ. They'll need all the experience they can get this coming Sunday when they face a friendly versus DI national champions Penn State. |

However, Temple's tenacious counter ruck and ball poaching gave them opportunities to counter act. LSWR's victory guarantees them a place in the EPRU playoffs November 6th and 7th in Princeton, NJ. |
