La Salle completed preparations for their first trip to USA Rugby's DII nationals with a convincing 63-5 win over visiting Kutztown. Friends, family and members of the local rugby community came out to support the Explorers in their final tune up. |

La Salle Falls To West Chester 46-5 |

The Explorers fell to West Chester 46-5 in a game of two halves this past weekend. La Salle looked up to the task early in the game, trailing only 15-5 after 40 minutes. Hard running by West Chester and poor LSWR tackling allowed West Chester to open up the game in the second half. The game was the last opportunity to test several young players against high level competition before nationals. La Salle will face Kutztown University in their lone home game of the season this Friday, 7PM at McCarthy Stadium on campus. |

LSWR defeated Rutgers 32-10 Friday night in New Brunswick. The Explorers found their rhythm early, despite missing starting scrumhalf Jessica Wallace, flanker Pattie Flanagan and wing/center Maria Muscara. Rutgers punished La Salle for letting up early in the second half before the Explorers regained the momentum, scoring three more unanswered tries. |

Charne Foston battles for a lineout vs Georgetown La Salle earned their first birth in the USA Rugby DII Collegiate Playoffs by finishing third in Mid Atlantic Rugby Football Union's DII playoffs. The Explorers moved past a disappointing loss to EPRU foe Delaware, 17-5, on Saturday to claim third place on Sunday. LSWR advanced to nationals by beating Georgetown 27-0 in what was a total team effort. |

La Salle Advances to MARFU Semifinals |

The Explorers advanced to the MARFU semifinals with a 29-20 victory against Longwood University. LSWR made the long trek to Farmerville with 18 healthy players. The visitors were tested by the adverse conditions, a relentlessness Longwood side and an inability to avoid penalties. |
