Four La Salle Players Selected To EPRU U23 Team |

Allison Floyd, Britni Buffalino, Maria Muscara and Mary Kate Kimiecik will represent the EPRU in this weekend's LAU round robin event. The EPRU will face the Potomatic Rugby Union U23s, Viriginia Rugby Union 23s and Mid Atlantic U19s in the weekend long competition. La Salle will also be represented on the Mid Atlantic U19 team by Nicole Murgali, Brittany McKenna and Patti Flanagan. |

For the second week in a row the Explorers are listed among the top 20 DII teams in the country according to Goff On Rugby. (subscription required) Ranked 20th last week, LSWR was commended for its close loss to the University of Delaware, ranked by Goff as #2 in the country, "No. 2 (sic) Delaware won over #20 LaSalle, but in a way that makes LaSalle look for real, so they move up." LSWR is now ranked 16th in the country but continues to trail EPRU rivals the University of Delaware and Shippensburg University. |

La Salle Women's Rugby fell to the University of Delaware 27-17 in a exciting match at Edgley Field. It was a game of two halves. The University of Delaware touched down four times and added a penalty kick before half time. LSWR woke up in the second half, playing in Delaware's end for the majority of the remaining time but could only manage three tries despite their vast advantage in second half possession. |

LSWR Earns Homecoming Victory in the Rain |

LSWR beat Bryn Mawr 17-7 in sloppy conditioning on Saturday. The game took back stage to the weather which featured dropping temperatures, high winds and horizontal rain. Despite the conditions, LSWR was able to pin Bryn Mawr in their end for most of the game. Bryn Mawr's tenacious work in the defensive rucks and La Salle's poor handling in the wet conditions prevented LSWR from capitalizing on their field position.
